Perlite is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly. It contains a small amount of trapped water within its structure.
When heated to temperatures between 850°C and 1100°C, the trapped moisture vaporizes and causes the mineral to expand dramatically, producing a lightweight material known as expanded perlite.
This expansion process can increase the volume of perlite by up to 20 times its original size.
The result is a white, lightweight, porous material with exceptional insulating and water-retention properties
At Industrial Materials Kenya, we are proud to be a leading supplier of premium-quality perlite in Kenya, serving customers in agriculture, horticulture, construction, manufacturing, filtration, and industrial processing sectors.
Whether you require perlite for greenhouse farming, hydroponics, insulation, lightweight concrete production, or industrial filtration systems, we provide high-quality products backed by professional technical support and reliable nationwide delivery.
